Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Taylor, MI seeks a Dyno Technician to support testing of prototype catalytic systems. The role involves running prescribed test sequences, monitoring cells and recording data, and performing engine checks to prevent leaks or malfunctions.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 3-5 years of test cell experience, and a Class C MUSTR certification within 24 months. Shift: Mon–Fri 2:30PM–11:00PM; comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3-5 years of Test Cell experience.
• Familiar with standard mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Class C MUSTR certification must be obtained within 24 months of being in role.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run prescribed test sequences and parameters for Diesel, Gasoline aging, or Oven aging with minimal supervision.
• Monitor test cells, check readings (temperature, pressure, etc.) and record data.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and engines as needed.
• Assist with installation of engines and parts to be tested and connect controls.
• Complete daily shift reports and assist other technicians.
• Practice 5S housekeeping and maintain tools and work areas.
