Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in Taylor, MI is seeking a Dyno Technician to operate test cells, monitor engine tests and collect data for prototype catalytic systems development. The role requires attention to instrumentation and safety procedures and offers exposure to Diesel and Gasoline aging test programs.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 3–5 years of test cell experience, basic math skills, and be willing to work the 2nd shift with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance with JM

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Test Cell experience is desired.
• Familiar with standard mechanical concepts, practices and procedures.
• Class C MUSTR certification must be obtained within 24 months of starting.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Competency with Microsoft suite of programs.
• Open to 2nd shift: Mon–Fri 2:30PM–11:00PM.

Responsibilities

• Run prescribed test sequences and parameters for Diesel, Gasoline aging or Oven aging with minimal supervision.
• Monitor test cells, track temperature, oil pressure and other readings.
• Record data and maintain strip charts for heat, vacuum, and readings.
• Perform engine checks and maintenance to prevent leaks or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and engines; assist with installation of test engines and components.
