Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, Alabama, seeks a Dyno Test Cell Operator to support engine and transmission testing on dynamometers. You will install test articles, perform standard engine maintenance, and conduct light fabrication (MIG/TIG welding, machining).

You will coordinate with powertrain engineers, run defined tests, and help maintain system integrity while using basic computer skills and a toolbox of hand tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an automotive mechanic, automotive tech, or related role.
• Automotive repair degree/certification may substitute for experience.
• Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
• Basic knowledge of operating a computer.
• Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tools.
• Must be able to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical support for engine and transmission testing.
• Test article cart installation & removal.
• Conduct standard engine maintenance (oil changes, spark plug changes, compression/leak down checks, coolant system pressurization, etc.).
• Perform part changes (cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, etc.).
• Light fabrication (MIG & TIG welding, machining, cutting).
• Operate dynamometer controls and run tests as per schedule.
• Interact with powertrain development engineers to work on a test article.
