Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking a Dyno Technician to support test cells for prototype catalytic systems and product development. The role involves running test sequences, monitoring instrumentation and data, and performing engine checks with supervision, while adhering to safety and waste procedures.

Responsibilities include installing engines, recording outcomes, troubleshooting instrumentation, and maintaining well-organized shift reports.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
3-5 years of Test Cell experience – Desired.
Familiar and able to demonstrate standard mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures.
Class C MUSTR certification must be obtained within 24 months of being in role.
Basic Math Skills
Good verbal communication skills
Competency with Microsoft suite of programs

Responsibilities

Run prescribed test sequences and parameters for Diesel, Gasoline, or Oven aging with minimal supervision.
Monitor test cells, check readings, record data, and maintain strip charts.
Perform engine checks and maintenance to prevent leaks or malfunctions.
Comply with Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures and regulations.
Complete daily shift reports and assist other technicians with reports.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and engines using appropriate support resources.
Assist in installation of engines and parts for testing; connect valves and controls.
Perform daily housekeeping and apply 5S practices.
