Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group in Troy, Ohio seeks a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations developer to own end-to-end changes. You will learn business processes with users, design, build, test, deploy, and support the system, while retiring legacy code and ensuring robust SSRS outputs for daily operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and training of end users in business language, within a small, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Experience developing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
• Experience promoting code through LCS or a comparable release process.
• SSRS report development and support.
• Evidence of carrying work from request to production use, not just the build step.
• Comfort working with non-technical users, and clear writing.
• A collaborative way of working: shared standards, reviewed code, help asked for early.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end business requests: discovery, design, build, test, deployment, support
• Work with users to learn the real process before changing it
• Simplify existing processes and remove the manual steps around them
• Develop and extend Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (X++, extensions, integrations)
• Write and support SSRS reports and the documents the system produces for daily operations
• Build and support EDI transactions with customers and trading partners
• Promote code through the standard LCS release process, with a deployment and rollback plan
• Upgrade and retire legacy code and applications, including VBScript utilities and classic ASP pages
• Write the test cases for your own work and get user sign-off before release
• Review the team's work and have your own reviewed
• Document what you build and share what you learn, so the next person does not start over
• Train and support end users directly, in business language
