Job summary

Medix Technology is seeking a hands-on D365/ERP-focused Manufacturing/Warehouse Consultant to provide real-time floor support and functional system troubleshooting on the Chicagoland warehouse floor. This role is floor-first and operational, not software development, working side-by-side with the Warehouse Lead and floor staff to resolve bottlenecks and streamline inventory workflows within D365.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, floor-level operational support and troubleshoot within D365 on the active warehouse floor.
• Manage item and SKU movements, resolve stock/reservation holds, and ensure real-time inventory accuracy.
• Support BOM staging and material issuance for assembly, kitting, or production lines from D365.
• Manually clear order reservations and resolve inventory locks using standard D365 tools.
• Collaborate with forklift operators, material handlers, and shipping/receiving staff to resolve daily hurdles.
• Work with the Warehouse Lead to streamline movements and real-time stock accuracy.
• Provide actionable feedback during ERP rollouts or process redesigns.

Job description

We are seeking hands-on D365 / ERP focused Manufacturing / Warehouse Consultant to provide real-time floor support and functional system troubleshooting. This is a practical, floor-first operational role—not a software development or IT desk position. You will work side-by-side with our Warehouse Lead, Fernando, interfacing directly with forklift operators, material handlers, and floor staff to solve immediate operational bottlenecks, clear order reservations, and streamline daily inventory workflows within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

Key Responsibilities

• Floor-Level Operational Support: Provide immediate, on-the-ground support and system troubleshooting within D365 directly on the active warehouse floor.
• Item & SKU Management: Execute item-by-item operational adjustments, track SKU movements, manually resolve stock/reservation holds, and ensure real-time inventory accuracy across the facility.
• BOM & Kitting Floor Execution: Support Bill of Materials (BOM) staging, component availability verification, and material issuance for assembly, kitting, or production lines directly from D365.
• Item-by-Item Execution: Manually clear order reservations, resolve inventory locks, and execute floor transactions through standard D365 functional tools rather than relying on background coding or scripts.
• Frontline Collaboration: Interface directly with forklift operators, material handlers, and shipping/receiving personnel to resolve daily execution hurdles as they happen.
• Workflow Optimization: Partner closely with Fernando to streamline physical warehouse operations, inventory movements, and real-time stock accuracy.
• Operational Feedback: Identify systemic friction points and provide practical operational feedback during ongoing ERP rollouts, process redesigns, or recovery efforts.

Must-Have Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

• D365 Warehousing Expertise: Direct, hands-on functional proficiency navigating and operating the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Warehousing / WMS module.
• True Warehouse Background: Deep operational familiarity with day-in-the-life warehouse environments, order reservation logic, SKU tracking, picking/staging workflows, and inventory management.
• BOM & SKU Execution Knowledge: Practical experience managing item SKUs, component picking for Bills of Materials (BOMs), and raw material/kitting issuance on the warehouse floor.
• In-the-Weeds Floor Troubleshooting: Proven ability to build rapport with frontline staff (forklift operators, material handlers) and solve immediate operational issues in real time.
• Practical Execution Mindset: A strong bias toward item-by-item manual execution and operational problem-solving over writing software scripts or over-engineering solutions.
• 100% On-Site Presence: Ability to be on-site 5 days a week in the Chicagoland area.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications

• Cross-Functional Supply Chain Knowledge: Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain touchpoints, including manufacturing execution, procurement, and inventory planning.
• ERP Recovery & Improvement: Prior experience giving practical feedback during ERP implementations, system stabilization phases, or process redesigns.
• Ideal Candidate Background: Applicants coming directly from practical Warehouse Operations, Distribution, or Floor Management roles (rather than pure IT, software development, or general production planning).
