Job summary

Proso Ai Technologies is seeking a senior Dynamics 365 SCM Advanced Warehousing specialist to own the AWM/WMS workstream. You will design, configure, test, and stand up warehouse processes from inbound receiving to outbound shipping, with a focus on high-throughput operations across chilled and ambient zones.

The role requires hands-on configuration, mobile device workflow optimization, and strong collaboration with clients and production teams across hybrid India-based locations with onsite

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 SCM Advanced Warehousing.
• Minimum of three full lifecycle implementations covering design, configuration, testing, cutover and hypercare.
• Working knowledge of Inventory Management, Master Planning, Production Control, and Transportation Management.
• Practical experience with warehouse mobile hardware and device integrations.
• Strong client-facing communication and design authority capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Advanced Warehouse Management workstream end-to-end from design to on-floor configuration.
• Configure the WMS engine: wave templates, work templates, location directives and exceptions.
• Develop mobile device menus and workflows for warehouse and yard operatives.
• Define load templates, shipment workflows, outbound sortation logic and pick/pack processes.
• Ensure batch traceability, temperature zoning, FEFO rules and returnable asset handling.

Engagement: Full-time Contractor (not working anywhere)/ Permanent

Experience: 6–12 years, incl. 3+ fullcycle D365 SCM WMS implementations

About the Role

You will own the Advanced Warehouse Management workstream in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management: designing the warehouse model, configuring it, proving it on the floor with mobile devices, and standing it up through golive and hypercare. This is a handson senior role — you design it and you build it.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse design & configuration

• Lead the Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM/WMS) workstream endtoend in D365 SCM — design authority through to handson configuration.
• Configure the core WMS engine: wave templates and wave processing, work templates and work classes, location directives, work pools and work exceptions.
• Build and optimise mobile device menus, menu items, field priorities and device flows for warehouse and yard operatives.
• Configure load templates, load building strategies, shipment workflows, and outbound sortation/consolidation logic.

Endtoend warehouse processes

• Inbound: ASN/receiving, quality hold on receipt, putaway strategies and crossdocking for fastmoving chilled lines.
• Outbound: picking (cluster, batch, wave), packing, staging, marshalling by dispatch bay and route, and shipping confirmation.
• Replenishment: min/max, demandbased and wavebased strategies tuned for highthroughput pick faces.
• Counting and quality: cycle counting by threshold/spot, inventory adjustments, quality orders and nonconformance handling.

SectorSpecific Requirements (Dairy / Chilled)

• Full batch traceability — forward and backward — supporting mock recalls and BRCGS / food safety audit requirements.
• Temperaturecontrolled zoning: chilled, ambient and frozen locations with compliant putaway and pick logic.
• Short shelf life: FEFO enforcement, minimumshelflifeondespatch rules by customer, and residual shelflife alerts.
• Returnable assets: crates, dollies, roll cages and pallet pooling (e.g. CHEP/IFCO) tracking.
• Allergen and segregation controls across storage and picking.
• Routebased dispatch to retail RDCs and multidrop rounds, including retailerspecific labelling (GS1128/SSCC) and EDIdriven despatch.

What You'll Bring

• Deep, demonstrable D365 SCM Advanced Warehousing expertise — not "SCM generalist with some WMS exposure."
• 3+ full lifecycle implementations covering design, configuration, testing, cutover and hypercare.
• Working knowledge of adjacent modules: Inventory Management, Master Planning, Production Control (process/lean), Transportation Management.
• Practical experience with warehouse mobile hardware — RF guns, wearables, voice picking, label/print integration and scale interfaces.
• Comfort with data: warehouse configuration migration, DMF/data entities, and diagnosing wave/work performance issues.
• Confident clientfacing communication — able to hold a design position with a warehouse manager at 5am and a programme board at 2pm.

Nice to have: FMCG/food & beverage or 3PL background; catch weight and process manufacturing exposure; Power Platform (Power Apps/Power BI) for warehouse dashboards; Microsoft certifications MB330 and MB335 (Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert).
