Qualifications

• 5+ years as Functional Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central.
• Hands-on experience configuring, implementing and supporting Dynamics 365 modules in a business environment.
• Solid understanding of financial, supply chain, or core business processes.
• Experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and mapping business processes.
• Knowledge of testing and UAT, issue resolution, and post-implementation activities.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain functional concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

Job description

Accountabilities

• Business analysis and requirements gathering: Lead workshops and business analysis sessions with stakeholders to understand operational needs, document requirements, and translate business processes into functional specifications for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Dynamics 365 implementation and configuration: Configure, implement, and support relevant Dynamics 365 modules across Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Central, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational goals.
• Business process mapping and optimization: Analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions that enhance process consistency, productivity, and system performance.
• Functional documentation: Conduct gap analyses and prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), documenting proposed solutions, system requirements, and functional changes for technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Testing and quality assurance: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop and validate test scenarios, investigate functional issues, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and other project stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout implementation and enhancement initiatives.
• Reporting and analytics: Collaborate with Power BI developers and relevant stakeholders to define reporting requirements, improve data visibility, and support informed business decision-making.
• Training and change support: Deliver functional guidance and end-user training to promote system adoption and ensure users understand new processes and platform capabilities.
• Post-implementation support: Provide ongoing functional assistance, troubleshoot system-related challenges, and recommend enhancements to maintain solution effectiveness and support evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Professional experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) or Business Central.
• Dynamics 365 expertise: Strong hands-on experience configuring, implementing, supporting, and enhancing Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules in a business environment.
• Business domain knowledge: Solid understanding of financial processes, supply chain management, or core business operations, with the ability to translate functional requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Requirements and process analysis: Demonstrated experience conducting requirements-gathering workshops, mapping business processes, performing gap analyses, and developing functional specifications and design documentation.
• Testing and implementation: Practical experience supporting system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and post-implementation activities.
• Microsoft certifications: Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications, such as MB-300, MB-310, or MB-800, are considered a strong advantage.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex functional concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stakeholder management: Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage expectations, coordinate across teams, and facilitate agreement on business requirements and solutions.
• Analytical problem-solving: A structured, detail-oriented approach to identifying business challenges, evaluating alternatives, and delivering effective functional solutions.
• Location and work arrangement: Must be based in Canada and comfortable working remotely while collaborating with distributed teams.
