Job summary

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City in Bethany is seeking a Water Exercise Instructor responsible for leading instructional classes while ensuring the safety of all participants. The ideal candidate will promote classes, demonstrate exercises, and manage equipment effectively.

Certification in water exercise and CPR/First Aid is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess strong communication skills, and exhibit a commitment to character development and member relations.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. Training provided by the Y, if needed.
• Must have Group/Water Exercise certification from a nationally recognized organization.
• Ability to relate to pool patrons in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all instructional water exercise classes.
• Ensure safety of all program participants.
• Promote water exercise classes to members and the public.
• Assist lifeguard in the event of an emergency.
