Job summary

Southern States, LLC is seeking a Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator based in Lagrange, GA. The role combines warehousing, receiving, and shipping duties with occasional support for production and engineering teams.

You will help keep inventory organized, assist with inspections, and support trade shows and sales preparations. You will also coordinate shipping schedules, determine freight, prepare bills of lading, and manage freight bills, while operating forklifts and maintaining safe, clean

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant warehousing or shipping experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily.
• Ability to operate a forklift (training provided).
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production and schedule shipping out from the facility effectively and on time
• Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments
• Determine appropriate freight based on unit types and sizes per job
• Schedule UPS pickups for smaller parts shipping from the facility
• Prepare bills of lading
• Keep track of freight bills and pass to shipping/accounting
• Track outgoing shipments and communicate with customers
• Assist in receiving deliveries to the facility
• Operate the forklift to move parts around the warehouse
• Maintain warehouse organization and inventory control
• Assist engineering and sales with setup of materials for inspection and trade shows
