Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a warehousing operation, driving teams to exceed goals and deliver on customer commitments. You will develop forward-looking plans and translate them into action while ensuring efficient use of resources to meet the site financial operating plan and uphold a strong safety culture.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in distribution, strong MS Office skills, and a proven ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications

• 4-6 years related functional experience.
• 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with supervising warehouse associates.
• High School degree or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with associates and external customers at all levels
• Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with follow-up and follow through
• Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute annual financial operating plan
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location
• Strong written/oral communication including the ability to present in front of others

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to exceed customer goals and meet Penske objectives.
• Develop forward-looking plans and turn them into execution.
• Meet or exceed customer KPIs and interact with the local customer to understand needs.
• Identify operational improvements in inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with other Penske sites to share best practices and leverage resources.
• Develop and execute annual financial operating plan and manage P&L.
• Foster a safety culture and ensure compliance with policies.
• Drive process improvement and lead change to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
