Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in video production and postproduction.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and related software.
• Strong understanding of video editing techniques and storytelling.
• Experience in motion graphics and social media video content.
• Knowledge of YouTube best practices.
• Proficiency in designing thumbnails and infographics.
• Excellent spelling and grammar; strong social media trend sense.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends.
• Portfolio or reels required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in content strategy sessions and pitch social-first true-crime ideas.
• Research stories and organize editorial, archival, video, audio assets for production.
• Edit scripts, interviews, A-roll, B-roll into Daily Show segments for digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
• Shape pacing, visuals, sound, and flow to maximize engagement and retention.
• Create motion graphics, lower thirds, full screens, thumbnails, captions, and social assets.
• Review recordings and technical setups; correct or elevate video, audio, lighting, and framing issues.
• Ensure content is accurate, attributed, visually consistent, and compliant with standards.
• Deliver clean first cuts and final episodes on deadline.
• Maintain organized project files and archives; support sponsored content projects.
• Collaborate with producers and talent; communicate opportunities and timing.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights/weekends; travel up to 20%.
