Criminally Obsessed is seeking a creative, story-driven Editor to produce daily true-crime news and analysis content for the Daily Show. This role demands strong editorial judgment, advanced video editing, and a deep understanding of digital audience behavior to turn raw footage and scripts into compelling, platform-ready episodes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on video production and postproduction experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and related software.
• Strong understanding of video editing and storytelling.
• Experience in motion graphics and social video content.
• Knowledge of YouTube best practices.
• Portfolio or reels required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to content strategy sessions and pitch ideas.
• Organize assets for production—editorial, archival, video, audio, graphics.
• Edit scripts, interviews, A-roll and B-roll into Daily Show segments for digital, social, and broadcast.
• Shape pacing, visuals, sound, and flow for audience engagement.
• Create motion graphics, lower thirds, full screens, thumbnails, captions, and other assets.
• Review recordings; identify and correct production issues.
• Ensure content is accurate, attributed, and compliant with standards.
• Deliver clean first cuts and final episodes on deadline.
• Maintain organized project files and archives; support sponsored content.
• Collaborate with producers, talent, and partners; communicate opportunities and timing.
• Work flexible hours; travel up to 10–20%.
