Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Dispatcher in the United States (Ogden, UT area) to coordinate transport services. You will direct routing, monitor driver locations, and ensure required permits are in place. This role requires a US citizenship, a valid driver's license, and HAZMAT training, with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Position is not-to-exceed June 30, 2027, and falls under the Service Contract Act. Compensation is hourly with benefits and potential shift-based variations.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must have a current motor vehicle driver's license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six months specific experience which demonstrates knowledge required to perform duties of position.
• May substitute one year of specific experience for one year of high school.
• Must receive training for movement of HAZMAT and radioactive substances to ensure awareness of special permits required as requests for service are called in/received.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct routing for trucks from 1 ½ ton single axle to 26,000-pound tractor-trailer rigs.
• Keeps routing direction/map files to ensure driver scheduled pick up and deliveries are expeditious.
• Ensures permits for loads requiring them are obtained prior to driver picking up load and conveys information to driver.
• Monitors truck locations and movement through constant phone/radio contact to ensure delays are avoided.
• Reports and receives direction via radio or cellular phone.
• May be assigned to other work centers/tasks during periods of light demand.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
