Job summary

Responsibilities include charting, radiographs, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a clean, safe operatory. Travel between offices is required, and a valid driver’s license with insurance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with required state certification/licensure.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day is required; reliable transportation is needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per the state table of permitted duties for dental auxiliaries.
• Assist clinicians in specialty areas (Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, Pediatric).
• Escort patients from front desk and introduce them to team members as appropriate.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure smooth orthodontist scheduling.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to ensure efficient care.
