Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer in Lubbock, TX to bridge field operations and project management on large construction projects. You will coordinate RFIs, submittals, budgets, and schedules, supporting timely completion and smooth closeout.

The role requires a 2-3 year Project Engineer background in commercial construction, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Procore and Building Connected, along with strong organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and PM fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Procore and Building Connected.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 60+ hours per week and travel on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals.
• Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and design teams.
• Track project budgets and manage change orders.
• Support scheduling efforts to ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee project closeout activities to ensure all deliverables are met.
