Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Glenwood Springs, CO. The MLT will perform routine tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and toxicology, ensuring accurate results and maintaining equipment.

Eligible candidates have at least 1 year of MLT experience, appropriate licensure, and preferred ASCP/AMT credentials. Benefits include comprehensive medical coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Valid license where required by regulations
• National certification through ASCP or equivalents preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic lab tests in chemistry, hematology, and immunology
• Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and handling
• Ensure accuracy of results through quality control procedures
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA)
• Support transfusion reaction investigations by preparing necessary samples
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot as needed
• Communicate results clearly to healthcare professionals
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital procedures
• Maintain detailed records of results, calibrations, and QC measures
• Assist with inventory, reagents, and stocking lab supplies
• Perform other duties within the scope of practice

Education

1 year MLT experience

MLT license (where required)

ASCP/AMT certification preferred
