Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Machias, ME. The MLT will perform routine tests across multiple areas, process specimens, and maintain accuracy under strict QC guidelines.

Required is 1 year of recent MLT experience and any state-required licensure. Preferred credentials include ASCP/AMT certifications, with benefits and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Current license where required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology.
• Prepare and process specimens with proper labeling and handling.
• Ensure test result accuracy by following QC protocols.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA).
• Assist in transfusion reaction workups by collecting samples.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments and troubleshoot issues.
• Document results, calibrations, and quality control activities.
• Assist with inventory, reagent prep, and stocking.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital procedures.
