Job summary

Springfield College seeks a teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for children aged 15 months to 5 years, under the supervision of lead teachers. You will handle crises, accidents, and allergies while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with families, supervise student teachers, and support campus communities to promote children’s growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Associate's or vocational/technical degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field with 1–3 years of experience.
• DEEC certification (EEC license) required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Familiarity with QRIS standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula to promote cognitive, motor, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
• Attend to physical and emotional needs of children including toileting/diapering and basic first aid.
• Supervise and train student workers and interns; maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Interact with diverse families about children's development and progress.
• Comply with DEEC, NAEYC, and QRIS standards and ongoing professional development.
