Job summary

Evergreen Montessori School in San Jose invites an energetic Toddler Preschool Teacher to guide a class of young learners through the year, assessing development and designing tailored activities.

You will foster a nurturing, creative classroom and collaborate with staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience. In-class training is provided to entry-level teachers to support growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 ECE/CD units required (including infant/toddler coursework).
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines.
• Previous experience working with children in childcare or daycare setting preferred; ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Mandatory Certifications: fingerprinting/background check, Pediatric First Aid/CPR, TB test, vaccinations, and reporting training.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Toddler Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment. You love working with children, aiming to educate and nurture young minds in a stimulating environment. We also provide in-classroom training to entry level teachers.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and guiding toddlers and preschool age kids in small groups.
