Job summary

United Counseling Service (UCS) in Bennington, VT, seeks a Floater Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers, provide breaks, supervise transitions, and cover meetings. You’ll help with daily routines, bus monitoring, and end‑of‑day cleaning while ensuring a welcoming, secure environment for children.

The role requires a High School diploma (or CDA/AA within 2 years) and a valid driver’s license; CDA certification or AA in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred or must enroll within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide breaks and coverage for teachers and attend meetings.
• Assist with daily classroom operations and transitions.
• Supervise buses and ensure child safety on transport.
• Assist with cleaning, preparation, and materials for activities.
• Maintain documentation and assist with licensing regulations.
