Job summary

UCP of Central Florida Pine Hills Campus in Orlando is hiring a Teacher Assistant-Floater to support students PreK-12th grade. The Floater is assigned based on daily needs rather than a single classroom, offering exposure to diverse instructional settings.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, preparing materials, assisting assessments, documenting progress, and maintaining classroom routines and parent communication.

Qualifications

• G.E.D. or High School Diploma.
• DCF 45 hour within 90 days of hire if doing after care/summer or camp.
• CRP/First Aid Training.

• Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom.
• Assist in administering assessments/progress monitoring.
• Works with the teacher in documenting academic progress through authentic observations and data collection.
• Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques and data collection.
• Perform Paraprofessional duties in his/her absence.
• Keep up on best and promising practices for education (i.e., attending professional development, participating in book studies, etc.)
• Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (i.e., changing of students, keeping classroom clean)
• Maintain positive staff and parent interactions and communication.
• Attend required trainings, meetings and events.
• Ensure administration is informed of all parent and individual student concerns and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
