Description:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic skills by implementing lesson plans and daily duties of the absent teacher.

Job Summary:

• Instruct classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Assumes all other duties and responsibilities for a teacher during the time of teacher absence.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning while maintaining order in the classroom.
• Supervises students and aides.
• Good oral and written communication skils.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
• Maintainaccurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
• Perform other duties assigned by the principal.
• Leaves reports when appropriation at the conclusion of each day.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Valid substitute teaching license.

Working Conditions:
Works in standard office and school building environments.
