Radiant Industries, Inc. is seeking a Loads & Dynamics Engineer in El Segundo, CA to own static, dynamic, and transient analyses for Kaleidos and related hardware.

You will work with structures, mechanical design, and test teams to ensure structural integrity across manufacturing, transport, and operational environments. The role requires hands‑on engineering in ambiguous, fast‑paced settings, with collaboration across nuclear and aerospace‑adjacent disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in loads, dynamics, or structural analysis for complex mechanical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics, dynamics, and vibration.
• Experience with finite element modeling of metallic and composite structures.
• Proficiency with FEA tools: ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own static, dynamic, and transient loads for reactor systems and transport configurations.
• Perform structural dynamics analyses including modal, random vibration, shock, sine, and fatigue assessments.
• Implement explicit dynamics simulations to model nonlinear reactor response under transient events.
• Define transportation environments and load cases to support sizing and verification.
• Conduct FE analyses and collaborate with design engineers on materials and joint designs.
• Support test planning and correlation, including shaker tests and modal surveys.
