Citi Trends is seeking a Store Sales Associate to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will process freight, assist with price changes, and balance the register while providing friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include handling transactions, following safety procedures, and maintaining store appearance. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required, with opportunities to assist management on merchandising and loss prevention tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process freight
• Assist with price changes/markdowns
• Balance register according to company policy
• Call out prices when ringing transactions
• Bag merchandise efficiently during checkout
• Handle cash, checks, and credit cards correctly per policy
• Obtain management approval for returns/voids/checks
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provide proper customer service: greet customers, adhere to fitting room policies, ring up customers promptly, thank customers and invite return
• Follow all safety procedures
• Maintain professional neat appearance with name tag
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor per stock levels
• Assist management with tasks per company policy
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Assist Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and report theft or dishonesty per policy
