Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; 48 college hours or qualifying score on Master Teacher Online Exam within 90 days; 20 hours/year in-service training.
• SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks including safety practices, record keeping, and crisis intervention techniques.
• KNOWLEDGE includes basic math, following instructions, and understanding multi-step directions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations under teacher direction for students with special needs.
• Aids students in and out of classroom and supports social growth and field trips.
• Assists with personal care needs as required to support participation in general education.
• Collaborates with staff to share progress information and support IEP goals.
• Maintains instructional materials and data sheets for progress tracking.
