Job summary

Woodland School District 50 seeks a Special Education Teacher (ISEC) for Woodland Elementary School. August 17, 2026 start date with new staff orientation August 5–12, 2026. Qualifications

• License: IL Professional Educators License with LBS-1 Endorsement required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Prior teaching or student teaching experience required; Spanish fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in remedying academic and behavioral delays in a self-contained classroom.
• Consult with staff on appropriate behavioral and academic interventions.
• Deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum and Common Core State Standards.
• Attend IEP meetings and participate in parent/teacher meetings as appropriate.
• Collaborate with team and paraprofessionals to meet needs of students with special needs.
