Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Washington, DC is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a Contract - Full Time position. The role covers K–12 instruction with collaboration across teams to plan and implement student programs.

The candidate will provide special instruction, tutorial support, and ongoing consultation with general education staff as part of a team. A Bachelor’s degree and state teaching certification are required or preferred per district regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and appropriate state teaching certification are required or preferred per district.
• State certification for elementary/secondary/special education is preferred.
• Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) is a plus.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements to teach.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from K–12.
• Collaborate with general education staff on planning and implementing student programs.
• Offer special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation as needed.
