Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in Shillington, PA under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This full-time contract role offers a 38-hour workweek with a pay rate of $50 per hour.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, valid state teaching certificate, and prefers an LBS1 endorsement; CPR and health clearances are required. Collaboration with general education staff is essential to plan and implement student programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• CPR current; health certificate or TB test as applicable.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Endorsement for Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students K–12.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementing programs.
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation as needed.
