Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification/license.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learners.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and other educators.
• Commitment to creating a supportive and positive learning environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and adapt curriculum for students with varying abilities and needs.
• Develop and regularly update IEPs, documenting progress and collaborating with parents and staff.
• Provide direct instruction individually or in small groups to foster student growth.
• Monitor behavioral and academic performance, intervening as needed for student success.
• Participate in meetings, conferences, and professional development related to special education best practices.
• Maintain accurate and thorough student records in compliance with district and legal requirements.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
