Job summary

Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County in Lone Tree, Colorado seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher/Case Manager to support students with diverse learning needs, manage a special education caseload, and implement IEPs with research-based interventions.

You will collaborate with families, general education and special education staff, deliver services through pull-out or push-in models, and help students develop organizational and study skills while upholding the academy's character and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
Current Colorado teaching license with the appropriate Special Education endorsement (preferably Generalist K–12).
Experience in pull-out and push-in special education services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a special education caseload and ensure compliance with timelines and regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for academic and social goals.
Conduct special education evaluations and contribute to eligibility decisions.
Provide research-based interventions and individualized instruction for students with learning disabilities.
Deliver services through individual, small-group, pull-out, and push-in models.
Collaborate with general education and special education staff, families, and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate student records including IEP progress and behavioral data.
