Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required.
• Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement required.
• Special Education Generalist K–12 preferred.
• Experience with pull-out and push-in services preferred.
• Commitment to Ascent Classical Academies' mission and liberal arts education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a special education caseload while adhering to timelines and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to support academic and social growth.
• Conduct evaluations and collaborate on eligibility decisions.
• Provide research-based interventions and individualized instruction.
• Deliver services via individual, small-group, pull-out, and push-in models.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records including IEP progress.
• Support inclusive practices and daily living skills as needed.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Adhere to policies and participate in school-wide initiatives.
