Qualifications

• Hold Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
• Must meet health, physical and background check requirements.
• Must hold a valid Tennessee teacher's license with endorsement in #460, #461, or #105.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional and/or consultative services to eligible students with disabilities as per IEPs.
• Attend IEP-Team meetings to determine eligibility and develop IEPs and placement decisions.
• Consult with general education teachers on accommodations and services for students with disabilities.
• Conduct required student assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Administer data gathering assessments to guide instruction and lead data discussions with staff and parents.
• Develop and maintain student IEPs and required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons considering individual student needs and learning styles.
• Maintain a disciplined, welcoming, and productive classroom environment.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training workshops, and professional development activities.
• Maintain required professional endorsements, licensure, and ongoing development.
