Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Intervention Specialist to manage all aspects of Special Education services and compliance in Ohio. You will work with classroom teachers to implement IEPs, develop and monitor goals, and maintain required documentation.

The role requires licensure in Ohio, strong communication, and organizational skills, with experience in urban education settings preferred. Responsibilities include collaboration with staff, parent communication, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure in Ohio.
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/staff.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction to identified students in the classroom or intervention room, in small group or 1-on-1 as needed to help students meet IEP goals.
• Work with teachers to ensure IEP provisions are followed and goals are taught.
• Develop behavior plans and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain and update Special Education files and EMIS reporting.
• Facilitate testing accommodations during State testing and communicate with families to support progress.
