Ugly Dumpling in Springfield, NJ is seeking Server Assistants to support the server team and ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. You will help keep the dining area clean, assist in delivering food, and ensure tables are reset promptly.

The ideal candidate is quick, efficient, attentive to guests and team needs, comfortable with a fast-paced environment, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10 hours).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Clean surfaces, chairs, and floors around tables after guests leave.
• Assist with filling water and refilling guest beverages as needed.
• Deliver food orders from kitchen to tables accurately and timely.
• Confirm with servers/kitchen that dishes meet presentation and quality standards.
• Explain dishes to guests and maintain menu knowledge.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to requests or refer to staff as needed.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness including sanitizing tables, chairs and floors.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and stocking supplies.
• Work with team to support smooth service flow.
