Job summary

Target Security Specialist role in Irving, TX focusing on guest safety, loss prevention, and incident documentation. You will engage with guests, maintain security across store areas, and support teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Training is provided to develop de-escalation skills and use of Target's video surveillance and case management systems. The position requires 18+ and a willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting guests and helping them find what they need.
• Respond to security incidents and document them promptly using case management systems.
• Support team members and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture and uphold safety standards storewide, including exterior areas.
• Use de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and prevent escalation.
• Protect merchandise and help with theft prevention per AP policies.
