• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in assigned area.
• Highly Qualified Teacher Status.
• Current and complete application on file.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning meetings, conferences, and committees.
• Follow courses of study and curriculum approved by the state and Talladega County Board of Education.
• Foster citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism in all activities.
• Prepare for classes and maintain a classroom conducive to learning.
• Keep accurate records and evaluate student progress as required by policy.
• Protect students and school property.
• Cooperate with staff in planning activities and meetings.
• Abide by policies and avoid other employment that conflicts with duties.
• Uphold professional conduct standards and board policies.
• Promote positive public relations for Talladega County Schools.
• Perform other duties as requested by the principal.
• Provide consultative services to teachers and parents.
• Develop and implement behavior management plans for students needing intervention.
• Foster communication between agencies involved with students.
• Coordinate transitions of students from day treatment to home school.
• Assist in the referral process and observations in home settings.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
