Pleasanton ISD seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support learning for students with diverse needs. You will develop or modify curricula, prepare lessons, and implement IEP goals in collaboration with ARD committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Experience with IEP development and ARD processes preferred.
• Ability to adapt instruction for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic or skill development programs with evidence of prep.
• Assess student learning styles and plan suitable instructional strategies.
• Present material per IEP guidelines using varied media and technology.
• Modify regular curricula and assist students in general classes as needed.
• Participate in ARD meetings and assist in media selection.
• Maintain open communication with parents and educators; manage resources.
