Job summary

The Newgrange School of Princeton Inc seeks a Secondary Science Teacher for the 2026–2027 year to deliver standards-aligned science instruction and support students’ learning needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and valid New Jersey instructional certificate for science.
• NJDOE Science Certification; TOH or TOSD preferred.
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with New Jersey standards and the school curriculum.
• Develop and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and learning profiles.
• Implement student IEP goals and accommodations and maintain accurate student records.
• Use differentiated and multisensory instructional strategies to support student learning.
• Monitor and communicate student progress with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other professionals to support student needs.
• Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, professional development, and required school activities.
• Supervise students as assigned.
• Support the mission, philosophy, policies, and educational goals of The Newgrange School.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal or Administration.
