Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification meets qualifications required by law.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy; develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Plan lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles and follow TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning; collaborate with special education to modify curricula per IEP.
• Collaborate with staff to set goals, supervise aides, and use technology to enhance learning.
• Be a positive role model and support district mission; conduct conferences with parents as needed.
• Participate in staff development and comply with regulations and record-keeping requirements.
