Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a valid Texas teaching certificate, and passes required content and reading exams. You will lead rehearsals, coordinate school musical productions and after‑hours activities in alignment with district standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate or equivalent from out of state
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading (STaR) requirements met if applicable
• Certification must meet state/federal eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Follow district curriculum and guidelines for classroom instruction and co-curricular activities
• Maintain a conducive learning environment with organized planning
• Plan public performances aligned with instructional objectives and district standards
• Conduct after-school instruction and chaperone activities for competitions
• Present material per TEA guidelines and district policies
• Prepare and conduct the school musical
• Cooperate with faculty and administration to support district goals
