The position requires a Master’s in Speech/Language Pathology, ISBE/IDFPR licensure, and CCC preferred; bilingual Spanish or French proficiency is a plus. This is a school-based, exempt role within the district.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
  • Two years of school-based experience preferred.
  • CCC certification preferred.
  • Spanish or French language proficiency preferred.
  • Licensed by the ISBE and IDFPR as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a screening program for students in kindergarten and new entrants.
  • Provide evaluation and diagnosis for children identified in screening.
  • Develop therapy schedules for articulation, voice, fluency, language, syntax, hearing, and pragmatics.
  • Participate in IEP development as a multidisciplinary team member.
  • Provide progress reports to parents and teachers.
  • Consult with educators, parents/guardians, and support staff on speech/language concerns.
  • Provide in-service training on speech/language material and methods.
  • Maintain records related to speech/language services and Medicaid data submission.
  • Assist in procuring materials for students with speech/language needs.
  • All other duties as assigned by administration.
