Job summary

Urbana School District #116 is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech and language therapy to students, conduct assessments, and collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology, experience in a school setting, and excellent communication skills. This exempt position offers opportunities for additional compensation during the school year and summer. The role begins for the School Year 2026-2027 and requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
  • Two years of school-based experience preferred.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students.
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations for speech/language issues.
  • Develop schedules for therapy addressing various speech/language needs.
  • Participate in IEP development as a team member.
  • Consult with educators and parents on speech/language concerns.
