Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person Speech Language Pathologist to support a Providence County school for the 2026-2027 school year. Start ASAP with end date 05/28/2027; on-site in Rhode Island.

The position involves evaluating students, delivering therapy, and developing IEPs/504 Plans. Collaboration with educators, staff, and families is essential to support student progress and use diverse assessment tools.

Qualifications

• Rhode Island SLP licensure and RI educator licensure required.
• Experience in school settings preferred.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention techniques for diverse communication disorders.
• Ability to collaborate with educators, staff and families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to improving students' communication, language, and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders.
• Use standardized assessments to determine articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans like IEPs or 504 Plans for students with communication needs.
• Deliver therapy addressing speech sound disorders, language delays, voice issues, and social communication challenges.
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress and integrate communication strategies into classroom activities.
