Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person Speech Language Pathologist to support a school in Providence County, Rhode Island for the 2026–2027 school year.

The candidate must hold Rhode Island licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Educator licensure, with preferred prior school-based therapy experience. This on-site position offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for collaboration with educators, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold Rhode Island State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Educator licensure.
• Experience providing speech-language therapy in school settings preferred.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention techniques for diverse communication disorders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders.
• Use standardized assessments to determine articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication.
• Develop and implement IEPs or 504 Plans for students with communication needs.
• Deliver therapy addressing speech sound disorders, language delays, voice issues, and social communication challenges.
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress and classroom integration.
