Job summary

gpac is seeking a Sales Agronomist to join a well-known agronomy company in Colorado. You will make seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations to growers and work with a team of agronomists to support daily operations and grow long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities include preparing sales presentations and proposals, forecasting monthly and annual supply needs, and staying current on agronomy services and technology, including seed and Precision Farming tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of agronomy experience preferred.
• Degree in Agronomy/Agriculture preferred or equivalent experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Make seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations to growers.
• Work alongside other agronomists to carry out daily responsibilities.
• Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long term repeat business.
• Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful transactions.
• Forecast supply requirements by month and annual basis.
• Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently.
• Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology, including seed, Precision Farming technology, finance and marketing tools.
