Job summary

Advocate Health in Sheboygan, WI seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Observation unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for short-term monitoring and rapid clinical decision-making. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications per protocols, and document in the EHR.

Qualifications

• RN license in applicable state; BLS required
• BSN preferred (or higher)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for short-term monitoring and evaluation on Med/Surg Observation.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, recognize changes, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per established protocols with accurate EHR documentation.
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills in team-based care.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care demands.
• Uphold ANA Code of Ethics and contribute to safety-focused care processes.
