Job summary

Ace Retail Group is seeking a Sales Associate to assist with receiving, stocking and pricing, keep the store clean and organized, and deliver exceptional customer service across all areas of the store.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, helping solve problems, maintaining stock, and supporting department specialists with price changes and orders. A high school diploma or GED is required, retail experience preferred, and occasional forklift operation may be required.

• Formal retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present Westlake Ace Hardware in a positive light.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering the store and during shopping.
• Thank customers after checkout and upon leaving.
• Maintain a friendly, outbound demeanor with customers and colleagues.
• Answer pages and calls promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Escalate unresolved complaints to management.
• Develop strong product knowledge and store layout awareness.
• Provide personalized service to customers to wow them every time.
• Foster a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, stock intake, and stocking.
• Help maintain back stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and order on sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor area.
• Keep sales floor tidy, including end caps and promotional merchandise.
• Support merchandise resets across the store.
• Support department specialists with price changes and special orders.
• Keep store signage current.
• Operate forklift as trained.
• Report Store Support Center issues to the General Manager.
• Share merchandising or cost-control ideas with the General Manager.
• Attend store meetings.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
