Job summary

Highgate Hotels’ Row NYC in Times Square seeks a Restaurant Server to provide guests with attentive, courteous, and efficient service. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, process payments, and maintain turnover and cleanliness of tables and stations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent), be able to stand for long periods, and multitask in a fast-paced hotel dining environment. Training and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Good communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to maneuver through dining area with full trays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Receive and deliver guest orders and collect payment.
• Know menu items and current specials.
• Operate the POS system and perform cashiering tasks.
• Open and close procedures and side-work as assigned.
• Keep tables and service areas stocked, tidy and clean.
• Upsell food, beverages and promos to guests.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance and grooming standards.
• Preserve guest satisfaction and hotel standards.
