Job summary

Restaurant at Hotel Indy in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled Restaurant Bartender to deliver attentive beverage service in our hotel restaurant. You will learn menu details, craft cocktails to specification, and suggest pairings to guests.

The role rewards proactive, guest-focused service, teamwork, and professionalism. You will keep the bar stocked and clean, communicate guest needs clearly, and support the restaurant leadership to create memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow menus and instructions.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and perform up to 30 lb lifts.
• Must be able to bend, reach, and pivot as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the bar for service by cleaning spaces and stocking supplies.
• Learn details on each menu item to recommend drinks and pairings.
• Prepare cocktails and other beverages to specification with accuracy.
• Engage with guests to identify needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate special needs or requests and resolve guest challenges with the team.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar and dining spaces throughout shifts.
• Maintain professionalism consistent with restaurant and company standards.
• Know emergency procedures and assist guests in emergencies.
• Take on additional tasks as necessary or assigned by restaurant leadership.
